Introduction
Crowdology is a survey platform that allows users to earn money by completing paid surveys. Owned by Savanta, a global market research firm, Crowdology offers surveys of varying lengths, typically ranging from 2 to 15 minutes. Users can cash out their earnings via PayPal once they reach a minimum threshold or opt for Amazon gift cards.
What is Crowdology?
Crowdology is a survey site that will pay you to complete the surveys they offer.
Crowdology is owned by a company called Savanta, a market research firm that provides a full range of integrated intelligence services worldwide.
1. Make money by Crowdology Paid Surveys
The main way you can earn money on a survey site is by answering paid surveys. Crowdology offers you surveys to answer.
After completing the registration process, you will now be able to log in to their website. While in the member dashboard, you will see all the available paid surveys that you can take.
However, before you can answer surveys, you will need to complete your profile. Crowdology will use this to qualify you for a specific demographic so that they know which surveys to send you.
Surveys they offer will vary in length. Some surveys are only 2 minutes long, while others take around 15 minutes to complete. This is a normal average length for survey sites, and it’s good that surveys aren’t too long.
One thing to keep in mind is that Crowdology reserves the right to withhold rewards if they see that your survey question answers are untruthful or not considerate enough.
However, I see a problem with this type of situation. It’s a bit difficult to gauge how truthful a survey answer is, especially if it’s only answered over the internet.
This can lead to a number of problems. So, I checked their Trustpilot page, and sure enough, my suspicions were confirmed.
There have been a lot of responses from members about rewards being withheld or withdrawn. The problem with this is that most members claim that they were truthful in the answers they provided, but for some reason, Crowdology thinks that it’s untruthful or not considerate enough.
Now, when a member disputes the claim, they don’t get a response from their support staff, which can be quite frustrating.
As you know, this is the main problem with the paid surveys that Crowdology offers, which, as you can see, can significantly affect the earning potential of this site.
You also need to keep in mind that some of the surveys available have expiration dates. So it is recommended to answer them as soon as possible.
Overall, you can make some money answering surveys on Crowdology, but it may require a little more patience than many other sites.
2. Make money by Crowdology Sweepstakes
Crowdology also holds sweepstakes from time to time. Unfortunately, they do not provide information on how often exactly on their website.
Typically, for sweepstakes on survey sites, you will be able to join them as a reward for completing a survey or referring a friend.
However, Crowdology does not say much about how this works, only that they hold them regularly.
But if you look at the part of the website where they show information about previous winners, the last one was 2 years ago at the time of writing this review, so it doesn’t seem like much.
When they do, the prizes will also be listed immediately, so you’ll know what you can win.
But again, this is not a stable method of earning because, as you probably already know, it will all depend on chance and they often don’t.
But it’s a nice extra opportunity, as long as the sweepstakes are free to enter.
How do you get paid from Crowdology?
The way you make money with Crowdology is quite different from most survey sites. They don’t use a points system like most survey sites. What Crowdology does is pay you immediately for each survey you take.
Now, once you reach the $8 or £4 threshold, you can request a withdrawal of that money via PayPal. You can convert your accumulated rewards into Amazon gift cards or GCodes.
How to join Crowdology?
If you are in the US or UK, you can register on their website if you are 18 years or older. The residency restrictions are clear during the sign-up process.
If you are not in the UK or the US, the site will recognize you immediately. And if you plan to use a VPN to bypass that restriction, don’t worry because their system will detect it and still not allow you to register.
So, in my opinion, they are quite strict about who can join their site, which is only reasonable since these are the people who are their target audience. After all, they are a UK and US-based research company.
To complete the registration, you will need to fill out the form. After that, an activation email will be sent to you at the email address you provided during registration.
Click on the link in the email to finalize the registration process.
